三、姓氏中的颜色也包含着特殊的含义

Black（布莱克）, Blue(布鲁斯), Brown(布朗), Green (格林), Pink(平克), Red(里德), White(怀特)分别来源于颜色：黑色、蓝色、棕色、绿色、粉色、红色、白色。不过随着时代的变迁，这些姓中有些也产生了变异，如：Read变成了Reed或Read。

四、衣领颜色中的人的职业

Blue collar，即蓝领，指体力劳动者，源于他们常着蓝色工装。

Gray collar，即灰领，指技术维修人员，源于他们多是穿灰装的中青年。

Gold collar，即金领，指统指新型知识工人，如：高级工程师、软件开发者、律师等。

Pink collar，即粉领，指职业妇女或女性工人，源于她们常着粉色服装

Red collar，即红装，指机关、企业和科研部门从事接待或文秘工作的人员，多指多指青春少女。white collar，即白领，指以从事脑力劳动为主的教师、医生、等文职人员，他们常穿白衬衣。

Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel. All claimed that they were the best. the most important，he most useful，the favorite.

Green said: "Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die.

 Blue said: You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis(基础) of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace 

Yellow said: "You are all so serious. I bring the smile, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, and the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun."

Orange said:"I am the color of health and strength. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes.

Red could stand it no longer he shouted out: "I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life’s blood! I am the color of danger and of bravery. I am willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the blood. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon.

Purple said: "I am the color of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and big shops have always chosen me. People do not question me! They listen and obey（服从）."

Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others,: "Think of me. I am the color of silence. You hardly notice me. You need me for balance

And so the colors went on arguing. At last the rain began to speak: "You foolish colors, fighting against yourselves. Don’t you know that you were each made for a special purpose, unique(独特的) and different? Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands.

The rain continued:"From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch（延伸） across the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that you can all live in peace. The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow." And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate（赞赏） one another.
